Gorgeous property and great location
We stayed in the cabin and had a wonderful weekend. The property was beautiful and well maintained. Our golden retriever loved the water and running through the paddocks. We enjoyed fishing from the jetty on the property. We took the boat out on maroochy river - the boat ramp was only 10-15 minutes away which was convienent. The cabin had everything we needed. Debra was a great host - friendly and helpful. I recommend this property.
Location, grounds, owners and cabin also pet friendly all made for a relaxing wonderful stay.
The location was like being in the country but you were only minutes from Nambour. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The grounds were well kept and the accommodation delightful. We were also able to take to take our fur baby who also had a great time running free. A wonderful relaxing stay
Lovely little getaway
Deb was very friendly and we arrived to a beautifully chilled cabin with welcome wine and chocolates. Was great being able to have my little dog with us and let him run free in the paddock and swim in the river.
Wonderful to hear you enjoyed your stay, Sarah. Thank you for choosing to stay at Riverbend Lodge.
my wife and I really enjoyed a week in our eagles cabin. Plenty of open space where our two bowies ran and played whilst I fished in the river with its own jetty. The blissful quiet evenings relaxed us into restful sleep. Not far from beaches and shops made it a perfect location away from crowds and noise.
We will be back for sure......a memorable stay.
Great to hear you enjoyed your stay, Brian. Thank you for your kind review.
OK but overpriced and terrible bed
The owners were nice enough and unobstrusive, the property was spacious and great to let the dogs run around. The cabin was reasonably outfitted, with the exception of the collapsing inner spring mattress, which was like sleeping on a bendy board, and 4 flat thin old pillows. There was only a bottom sheet, which was quite strange. I had back pain and very little sleep for the whole four days of my stay. The cottage, the other accommodation, was only about 3 feet away from the cabin, so the noise of 4 children in that space was enough to wake me every morning. There was however a good hot shower. The fences on the property were not dog proof and I was not advised of this- when I talked to the host's husband I got a lecture about being responsible for my dogs. It was however good to be able to have the dogs inside. There was no internet to speak of, minimal, so any kind of netflix or even reliable email was not possible. The DVD collection" was a few very old and awful movies. Generally lacking in creature comforts.
Good to hear you enjoyed letting your dogs run free, Amanda.
It is unfortunate you said nothing about your discomfort during your stay, but instead chose to complain after the fact - had you spoken up after your first night, the issue could have been easily rectified.
All guest are informed about the 1200 fence height at the time of booking, that our property is not suitable for dogs that jump fences.
As I personally advised you about the 1200 high horse fencing between us and our neighbour's property, upon your arrival, advising that you need to keep your dogs on-leash if they were likely to jump fencing, I am at a loss about how much more advise I could have offered. I am sorry you were unable to understand the advice given and instead chose to seek out my husband at work in the paddock, to complain about our neighbour's fencing not meeting your expectation.
We appreciate guests who communicate in a manner seeking resolution if they have an issue about anything - unfortunately in your case, we were not given opportunity to resolve your issues.
