This newly renovated apartment is housed in a newly restored historic building, on the fourth floor. The apartment is located in the heart of the city, the canal district. 300 Mts from Anne Franks house and the Wester Church. The chimes of the Westerkerk join in every hour. .... yet away from the noise of the city. Located on the edge of the “negen straatjes”, the place to be for shopping and dining. Here you will find numerous high-end shops, coffeebars and restaurants. Numerous sightseeing activities and museums within walkin distance. Excellent public transport connection nearby at the Westermarket.
It is perfectly suited for families with children. Please note that there are no cooking facilities (no stove, oven or microwave). There is a toaster, electric kettle, Nespresso machine with milk foamer and other basic kitchen utilities. There is a dining table and sitting area with wifi.
The apartment is located on the fourth floor and there is no elevator.
Amsterdam is my home town where I work as a goldsmith. I was born and raised here and still very happy to be living in this beautiful city. I’ll gladly share hidden jewels, like the best vintage markets or shops, my favorite coffee spots and bars or restaurants I love to go to.
The apartment is situated above mine; I'm your downstairs neighbor :). It's just an amazing location. Right in the city centre but somehow without all the crowdedness that comes with that. The view of the Wester church tower is quite extraordinary and the canals are just around the corner.
The apartment is situated in a monument, yet very modern and convenient.
Simply in love with this historic building, so close to the Anne Frank house.
Parking
There are public parking spaces but due to the apartment's central location it's quite difficult to find an empty spot and it will cost you € 7,50 per hour.
Q-park on Marnixstraat is only a 10 minute walk from the apartment but €45,- per day. They have more parking garages though and those further away from city centre might be cheaper.
Parking Centrum Oosterdok is a parking garage on Oosterdoksstraat 150. €25,- per day and about a 20 minute tram ride or 30 minute walk from the apartment.
The cheapest option is Park and Ride on the edges of the city (€8,- for the first 24 hours and €1,- per day after that). You have to travel into the city centre by public transport though. You can read about the terms here: https://www.iamsterdam.com/en/plan-your-trip/getting-around/parking/park-and-ride
