Coachman’s Cottage is a very well appointed cottage, there is everything that you would need for a very comfortable stay. The owner left us a very generous welcome package, so generous we didn’t have to provide much else.
This is a lovely cottage that is well located for families that are heading to the several beaches that are close by. It is also well located for hikers or cyclists
My only piece of advise would be, if you’re tall- be aware in the bedrooms, I’m 6’2” and I just managed.
The nearest pub is closed, we used the Crossed Keys that is about 500 yards way. Don’t be put off by the exterior, the food was fantastic!!!
Comfortable cottage. 2 bedrooms, nice kitchen and sitting room. One bedroom has sloping ceiling. Dog allowed. Good value overall, will use again.

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful cottage and our host went above and beyond to ensure we felt extremely welcome when we arrived by decorating the cottage for Christmas and providing tea, coffee, mince pies and more which was so lovely. Would definitely recommend a stay in this fantastic cottage to anyone.
Only minor criticism- Wi-Fi would have been nice, to be able to look up local amenities.
Only minor criticism- Wi-Fi would have been nice, to be able to look up local amenities. Lovely cottage, beautifully decorated - little touches made the stay very special. Will definitely be back and will reccomend to family and friends
Lovely, well equipped and spotlessly clean cottage.
Lovely, well equipped and spotlessly clean cottage.Excellent welcome pack. The only draw back was lack of wi-fi for exploring and planning what to do in the area. Poor 4G signal. Fortunately I had done some research before travelling so had some idea of what to do / where to go. Lots of information leaflets in the cottage but most say to check website for up to date info on opening times etc. This is only a minor drawback but in this day and age most info etc is on line.
Also, the stairs are VERY steep at the top, so steep that a rope is provided to hold onto!!
We had a lovely stay at the cottage.
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. We felt very welcome by the lovely welcome pack of cream tea, Prosecco and a lovely card from the owner. We loved the location as it was near all the lovely coastal towns and not too far from York. Only downside was that phone reception was very poor.
