We are return guests to the Levy retreat. We visited in July 2020. Unfortunately, this time was sub-par. The construction was not noted in the listing during the time of booking. I noticed the negative reviews as we approached but it was too late to cancel. The construction is very very close to the house and it’s a big eye-sore. The deck that we loved sitting on before had a large piece of equipment parked right in front of it. For this reason, we will not be returning.
The views in the upstairs living area are beautiful. I could sit for days and stare out of them. The furnishings are very very dated and the home needs some general maintenance done. The hot tub was gross, the carpets desperately need stretching, fireplaces out of order, etc.
Our trip was unfortunately timed with a big storm and we were out of power for final 24 hours. I was unable to get in contact with anyone and the house had no candles, flashlights, etc. Additionally, the fireplaces were out of order so we had no way to keep the family warm. We were traveling with 2 children 4 and under. We would have left early but the conditions were so poor.
This trip was a Christmas gift for family and unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. We will be finding a new home to rent next time.
