At first glance this farm built in 1900 has all the hallmarks of a traditional chalet. But as soon as you step inside you’ll see that the owners have done an amazing job of bringing it right up to date, with the modern comforts and conveniences you need for an unforgettable holiday - including an indoor pool with a counter current and jacuzzi!


There is plenty of space at this luxury property, which is in a peaceful location just 1.2km from the pistes. The centre of La Clusaz, with all its shops, restaurants and bars, is 1.6km away - a 20-minute walk.

PLEASE NOTE : The chalet’s position overlooking the pistes and the village offers wonderful uninterrupted views from the balconies and terrace and it’s just 40m to the ski bus stop - put your car in the garage when you arrive and forget all about it!

The spacious accommodation at this beautiful home is set over four floors and is bathed in sunlight throughout, thanks to the large windows.

You might have to flip a coin to see who gets the fabulous master suite, which takes up the whole of the top floor. It has a small lounge area, a large open plan corner bath and a double shower, as well as a separate toilet.

The main entrance to the chalet has been totally renovated and leads into a spacious hall on the first floor. This is where you will find the main living areas. There’s a large open plan lounge with an extensive library, and sofas and armchairs facing the suspended fireplace, plus a second lounge area with TV. These are great spaces in which to chat with friends, plan the next day or simply relax with a drink in the evenings. There’s also a balcony enclosed by glass - perfect for taking in the magnificent view, whatever the weather.

There’s a separate TV room with more sofas and an area with table football, which is a great place for teenagers to hang out. The dining table is big enough for everyone to eat together, and there's also a central island with a breakfast bar in the kitchen.

There are four more en suite bedrooms on the ground floor - one double, two twin bedrooms which can be made up as doubles and a children’s room, which has two twin beds with two bunk beds over - a great place for sleepovers! Children of all ages will also love the games room on this floor, which can accommodate two adults on a sofa bed.

The lower ground floor is where you will find the garage with a ski store and boot warmer, and the fabulous swim spa which has a counter-current at one end and a jacuzzi at the other! There are also two double bedrooms on this floor, one with a bath and shower room and the other has a bathroom.

The chalet is surrounded by lawns, most of which are flat, and there are three terraces, all with stunning views, so you are sure to find somewhere to relax in the sun.

ABOUT THE AREA ...

Skiers and boarders will be spoilt for choice when they stay at Lodge Alta Clusa. The ski bus stop just 40m from the door is served by three different routes, giving you access to the 220km of slopes in the La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand and Le Croix Fry area.

If you’d rather take the car, the Bossonnet parking and lift in La Clusaz is just a three-minute drive away. Two ski lockers with heated boot warmers are available for guests to use.

There’s plenty to do for non-skiers too, with an ice-skating rink and cinema in La Clusaz, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. If you’re looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the village’s heated outdoor pool, while the snow falls gently around you.

In the summer, walks start right from your door when you stay at Lodge Alta Clusa, and with the village of La Clusaz just 900m away, you won’t need your car to explore everything the mountains have to offer.

Hike into Les Confins, where you will also find a nine-hole golf course and fishing lake, or let the telecabine ferry you and your bike to the top, so you can come back down at your own pace. Other activities available in the area include horse-riding, climbing, via ferrata and paragliding.

The mountains around La Clusaz are criss-crossed with tracks and paths, so there is always somewhere new to discover.

If you just want to relax, why not soak up the sun on the terrace or balcony as you admire the mountain views. Later, fire up the barbecue and plan the next glorious day in the Aravis mountains as the sun sets behind the mountains.

There is a great choice of shops, bars and restaurants in La Clusaz, and you can pick up fresh produce, at the weekly market. There are larger supermarkets a little further afield in Thônes. The ski bus, which stops just 40m from your door, links La Clusaz to Le Grand Bornand and Manigod, making it easy to get around.

The beautiful lakeside town of Annecy is just a 30-minutes away by car, and is a great destination for a day out. With a great calendar of festivals and markets, there is always something going on. Lake Annecy is said to be the cleanest in Europe and in the summer it’s a lovely place for water sports, cycling and swimming. Why not hire a boat to explore the beaches, perhaps stopping at lakeside restaurant for lunch? Golfers will be keen to try one of the area’s superb courses or you could visit the chateau at Menthon St Bernard.

One 40 m section of the road near the property is quite steep, your vehicle must be adequately equipped for driving in the mountains in the winter conditions. IMPORTANT: if you want to bring your pet, please note there is a 150 Euros / pet / stay applied for this property. This supplement will be payable a few days before arrival at the property.
