Classic 3 story town house with sunny garden - build in 1903 and lovingly restored in 2010. Ground floor and kitchen renovated in 2018.

Walk to the beautiful 18th century central square with many restaurants, bars and shops in less than 5 minutes and a large supermarket in only a 3 minutes.

Besides all the museums, the Anne Frank House and the many other historical and touristic sites on offer in and around Amsterdam, this location is also perfect for nearby daytrips to the world famous UNESCO World Heritage Site "Zaanse Schans", Volendam and the beautiful flowers at Keukenhof.

A nature park 'Het Twiske' with lakes, beaches and (sail)boat or kayak rental possibilities is only a 10 minute drive away. The coastal beaches of Zandvoort and Bloemendaal at a short 30 minute drive.

On the ground floor you will find the entrance hall with toilet and wash basin, a living room with comfortable sofa's, dining table for 8 and large 65" tv, fully equipped open plan kitchen with Nespresso machine as well as an American style double door fridge/freezer.

On the first floor you will find 2 bedrooms each of 16m2 or 170 sq ft. One bedroom with a king sized bed, beautiful antique sofa and flat screen cable tv, the second bedroom also with kings sized bad and lots of cupboards. Also on this floor is a luxurious bathroom with a extra deep bath, walk in rain-shower, wash basin, heated (anti fog) mirror and toilet.

The second floor has 2 bedrooms of 20m2 or 215 sq ft. one with a queen sized bed, sleeper-sofa, cable tv, shared ensuite bathroom with rain-shower, toilet and wash basin. The other bedroom also with a king sized bed, small sitting area and access to the same en-suite bathroom. On this floor you will also find the washer & dryer.

A spacious property of 165m2 or 1800 sq ft. in the suburb of Zaandam at only a 12 minute train ride from Amsterdam Central station. The local train station is less than a 7 minute walk from the house.

Parking is at 150 meters from the house on a small square. Price is 7 euro per full day

Great location, close to transit, quiet nights.
As a family of 5, with 3 adult children, we found this property to be the perfect fit for us. Yes the stairs are very steep as is typical in this locale, but there was room enough for everyone. The house is located on a beautiful residential street and the nights were wonderfully quiet. The train and bus station was a 5 - 10 minute walk and 2 stops by train from Amsterdam Central. Everything we needed was a short walk away. A wonderful location in all. Sadly it rained for most of the week we were there so we didn't use the outdoor equipment, but we did use the many umbrellas supplied. We would stay here again if the opportunity came along.

We had a great stay here, and enjoyed being a little bit away from the crowds of Amsterdam. The rental is in a quiet neighborhood only a 10 minute walk to the train station. From there you can be in the city in less than 15 minutes. There is only one stop between Zaandam and Amsterdam. Very easy and frequent. It was great to be able to retreat to home base and walk 5 min to Zaandam center area for dinner. Or, stay at home and cook a family dinner-there is a great supermarket right on the corner. The house is comfortable, and complete with steep stairs and squeaky floors like most every building we saw in Holland. The owners and their assistant Farah were speedy to help with any questions. Solid rental and great price compared to similar properties in AMS central. Also very easy train connection to Schipol.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Zaandam. The location was great...the train into Amsterdam was an easy walk from the house...and it was close enough to the high street (grocery store, shopping, eateries, etc.) to make it convenient but not so close that we could hear it. In fact, the neighborhood is quiet...and quite charming. The house is well furnished, the beds and pillows were comfortable and the hot water never failed us (4 fifty-something adults). Communication with the host was easy and I received responses quickly. I would book this property again in a heartbeat!

The house was well-furnished and a very pleasant retreat, with a nice small back area. The owners were very accommodating and responsive. We all enjoyed our stay.
