Charming and clean
Overall, we'd stay here again. The mattresses were very comfortable, the place was spotless and well-appointed. The colors and decor are rustic and cozy. The place had no weird smells (no smells at all, really)
The family room was also very comfortable and attractive. We used the fire place and watched most of a movie (the internet went out, and it took us some time to find the router). There is sufficient seating for many people, and it is very comfortable.
The hot tub was very nice. it worked well, the water was hot tub temp and the jets worked nicely. it was easy to add chemical to the unit after use.
There are a few things preventing a 5 star review:
door on main bedroom is poorly hung and rubs hard. It is very loud and difficult to operate.
there is only one nightstand in the main bedroom.
The closet in the main bedroom is basically unusable as it is completely full with 4 chairs and shelves above.
Some of the trim work is not attached to the walls, and stands out about an inch in places. It does not affect function of the place at all but is very simple to fix and feels very low quality.
soap was provided in bathrooms but shampoo was not.
The stairs around the deck are overly tall, much taller than code. They will be difficult for someone with limited mobility to use. the stairs to the hot tub are awkward and tall. storm door swings opposite other door, and out over the top stair.
