Le propriétaire est disponible pour toutes questions!
Our 2 week stay in a 2 bedroom apartment at Residence Le Grand Balcon is one of the best holiday experiences we have had for a long time. From the start of booking, communication with Zoe was clear and precise. As a traveller with a disability, I needed to be sure that we stayed somewhere that would meet my limited mobility needs, as well as the more active pursuits of my husband and child.
Zoe had provided us with her mobile number in advance of our journey and was ready to meet us when we arrived. The apartment was perfectly clean and clearly well maintained, although we didn't manage to locate a kettle while we were there - an absolute essential for us tea-drinking Brits! I'm sure if we had asked Zoe, she would have sorted it out for us though! The bathroom had rails in all the right places to allow me to make full use of the facilities.
The scenery is almost beyond description - from our balcony we could see up to L'Aiguille du Midi and just make out the top of Mont Blanc.
There was so much to do, which I found a bit surprising for a resort so tuned into Winter Sports, but there really was loads. I would strongly recommend the cable car up to L'Aiguille du Midi, as well as any of the train trips, especially the one from the centre of Chamonix up to the Mer de Glace. For kids (grown up as well as under 18!) the Summer Luge in one of the Adventure Parks is great! Don't forget that both Switzerland and Italy are only short trips away if you're travelling by car.
It's almost impossible to recommend any one restaurant, we did try quite a few though! Zoe was really helpful here again, recommending some of the establishments off the beaten track, where you might expect a bit more of the "real" France.
I have already recommended this experience to several of my friends and would certainly consider visiting the area again!
