The location, with privacy, but close to a lake, and all relevant sites of Canaan Valley was spotless. Just perfect. The cleaning could be better. A lot of spider webs outside and inside. I lost some time cleaning the spiders (kids joked about the "creepy" cabin). But the key problem was the maintenance: (1) Lower restroom smell was nasty, stinking. It was clean, but impossible to use. We call for support, which was promptly attended, but no action was taken. So, we had to keep it closed, out of operation all time. You pay for 2 restrooms, but will receive only one. (2) Overall lightning devices. All lights are pretty old, and we had all kind of problems: sparks in switches, burned light bubbles, broken switches, switches malfunction, etc. Almost unsafe for a woody cabin. (3) The Wi-Fi was very, very, very old. The connection quality is good, but the router is so old, that it was necessary keep the connection tentative overnight in order to have your device recognized by the router. And, of course, you have to stay 10 ft or closer to work. (4) The fire pit was not possible to be used, once all the pile stock was wet. The area around the fire pit could have a better cleaning. “Sorry kids, no smores this weekend!” Amazing location and very good management, but better maintenance is a must. I would return there, but just after a decent overall maintenance of the cabin.
