This house is so comfortable and was perfect for us. It was so nice to have somewhere to go and relax after doing wedding stuff for our son and daughter in law. Way better than a hotel room. The only thing that we thought the house could use was a non stick skillet. We would recommend this house to anybody and would definitely rent it again.
It's nestled in a quiet and friendly neighborhood, conveniently located just 20min from anything and everything. The house itself was very comfortable, fully equipped kitchen and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. The backyard we had the room to play games with our kids and our dog had room to roam. The owners are very sweet people made.sure all sure everything was going well and we had everything. We would.love to go back. I would give 10 stars was very satisfied
My family and I stayed here from 02/01/16 to 02/11/16. The house was cute and just what we needed for our family get together. We had 5 family members staying in the house and friends came to visit. The home was very clean (we even checked under couch cushions). The house is supplied with dishes and linens all of which were plenty for a short term rental/vacation rental. The owner's were very pleasant and were easily accessible for questions. My family and I have already planned another trip.
I was just getting ready to book our next trip at this home and these hosts. I was shocked at the other review. We stayed our last visit for weeks. The hosts greeted us when we arrived, and checked on us periodically to see if everything was ok. The house was great. They are always making improvements. I hope that anyone else reading these reviews look at the response. There is no way that this review is accurate, if any of those things happened I know for a fact the hosts would have been over immediately to take care of whatever was the problem. Folks... you will have a wonderful stay at this home. It is convenient to Camp Lejeune and not far from beaches. Have a great time
This property was below expectation, based on the advertisement and praise from the owners. There were pros and cons to this house, and much consideration needs to be given based on the number of occupants that will be staying there, as well as the length of your stay.
Pros: The house had sufficient space for our family of 6 and the neighborhood was enjoyable. There are great neighbors all around and the location was good for most commutes.
Cons: The house was pretty dirty when we got there. We had to initially wash the dishes, linen and towels prior to use. We also had to deep clean the house prior to “moving in.” There wasn’t a sufficient amount of dishes for our family to use, unless all the dishes were washed after each meal or snack. The cookware was terrible. Very cheap pots and pans, everything sticks to them and they are very hard to clean.
We were told to only use the appliances in the evening or very early in the morning due to higher usage costs during the day. We were also told to keep the air set at 76 or above because the A/C unit was on its last leg and would need replacing soon. Halfway through the month that we were there, sure enough the A/C went out. We were without A/C for an accumulative 8 days. The owners tried a patch job twice, it would work for a day, then go back out. During our last week there, we just couldn’t take being in an 89 degree house all day and roasting at night. They suggested opening the windows, but the problem with that is the lack of screens on the windows allowed bugs to get in everywhere. We had problems with cock roaches in the house, too. We told the owners and they came and sprayed for them. I finally decided we were going to have to leave the house early due to the excessive heat in the house. Once I told the owners we were leaving early they came that night and put a few window units in the house until they could get the A/C replaced. It was nice of them, however it resulted in all of us having to bunch up into one area of the house rather than everyone having their own bed.
The owners gave us $50.00 back for the 1 night we didn’t stay there, but did not compensate us for any of the miserable hot days and nights we had to endure there.
Upon leaving, we cleaned the house thoroughly and left it better than we found it. Since the owners did not do an initial move in checklist of the current condition of the house, we requested they do their move out inspection with us presen
