We stayed here as a party of 14 for my Grandads 90th. The house was gorgeous with plenty of space. We were very lucky with the weather and able to spend the whole of Saturday in the garden.
From the photos I don’t think the photo of the kitchen does it justice. It’s really big and has another large table with an American style fridge freezer.
The only thing that lets it down slightly is the bedroom arrangement. There were twin beds with a curtain on the top floor with another double bed up there too. We managed due to the people that were there but if there were couples this at have not worked. Also, it is a shame the table football is tucked away up there as it would have been great to all take advantage of that too.
That aside, the house is beautiful and in a great location. Would highly recommend!
We have just enjoyed our second visit to Llandrinio Hall, for our annual family weekend & had a really wonderful time. The Hall combines the spectacular with the homely and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. It was such fun choosing who slept where as all the bedrooms were different.
There was all that we needed in the vast kitchen but again we felt really relaxed with the delightful mixture of crockery & plentiful supply of utensils.
It was such fun to enjoy the beautiful garden which provided opportunities for endless games and was well supplied with bats, balls & a giant chess set. And this year there was the welcome addition of a trampoline!
We very much hope to revisit Llandrinio Hall and make more memories - this year’s highlights were a Sunday Service (singing accompanied on the grand piano), watching the Cricket World Cup & Wimbledon Finals, Round the Table (our favourite table tennis game) & our annual hike up to Rodney’s Pillar.
Fantastic place to stay
We booked for a weekend away for 16 people, adults and kids, so full occupancy, you’re never sure if you’re going to feel on top of each other, but couldn’t have further from the truth! Llandrino was so spacious, kids loved playing hide and seek....were at it for hours, from the large kitchen & dining area, the TV room, lounge, snooker room & never mind the bedrooms.
The space made our stay very relaxing, everyone could do there own thing, men especially enjoyed the snooker room, sound systems worked wonderfully throughout the house too.
The kitchen is very well stocked, never missed anything when cooking for our large group.
We would definitely think of returning, we couldn’t fault anything, checking in and out was simple too, no hassle.
A unique home with bags of personality!
Finding a property to cater for the needs of a large family group, with ages from young to old was expected to be a challenge - until we found Llandrinio Hall. Celebrating an 80th birthday, a group of 16 of us enjoyed a fantastic 3 days in a property which can only be described as unique, oozing character and history, yet homely and relaxing. The space is perfect for a large gathering - neither too large nor too small. With a combination of music, snooker, cinema, gardens, table tennis, wet room and a well equipped / spacious kitchen are, we had all we needed to make a memorable and special occasion and something for everyone. In spite of its size and old grandeur, the hall feels well loved and lived in, making it easy to relax and enjoy its quirky personality. Great for self catering, with a beautiful outdoor space and views and a highly effective heating system rounded it off perfectly. Finally, our thanks to Sue (housekeeper) for great pre arrival help. Absolutely amazing from start to finish!
I spent a long weekend with 8 close friends to celebrate my 40th and this place was such a special place to do that. From the location, to the tree lined drive, this Manor House is absolutely gorgeous. Each room has such character...from the sitting room to the massive kitchen, and the walk-in shower room. It would be amazing for children too who would spend hours discovering the outdoors and would have such fun sleeping in the quirky bedrooms. It was so well equipped with towels in each room and lots of ice in the freezer!
We made so many memories there and we all fell in love with the place. So thank you Jonathon for finding this gem and letting strangers enjoy a little piece of heaven in Wales. We will definitely return one day.
