We visited "La Chaume" for two weeks in July 2010. We found the property without any difficult- the directions were clear and easy to follow. The first view of the property is of a charming small complex of cottages within an enclosed garden area. Our cottage was well prepared on our arrival and it was in very good condition. It comprised 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, living room and kitchen which was well equipped.
The pool area comprises an adults pool and a separate childrens paddling area. It too is well maintained and enclosed within a walled area.
The surprise for us was the garden and games area.
The property is on the outskirts of Cussay village where we visited the local auberge-a well run and attractive small hotel/bar- and the patisserie which produces the breakfast baguette and croissant!
The town of Ligueil is located within five minutes drive- it has an excellent pizzeria.
The larger town of Loches is about twenty minutes drive away and it has a range of restaurants and historic sights.
In summary, we had a most enjoyable holiday at " La Chaume" and we will undoubtedly return for another stay there in the future.
We stayed in La Brangerie 5 days in May 2010 and had a lovely time there! We were suprised to find all kinds of outdoor-facilities, as badminton-nets, tabletennis-tables, lots of swings and a beautiful garden, with all kinds of flowers and a bamboo-forest. Since it was rather cold, the children only had a quick swim in the swimmingpool, but we really enjoyed hanging out in the garden. The owners provided a lot of extra outdoor toys and the flat was equipped with baby-chairs and cots and the rooms were very nice. Cussay is a small village, and unfortunately the village restaurant was fully booked for the Sunday-lunch, but probably worth a try! Lot's of nice things to see in the area. We especially enjoyed Ambroise and spent a whole day trying out Da Vincis inventions in Le Clos Lucé.
