Great Branson Trip
Even better than advertised. Wonderfully decorated, close to all attractions but far enough to feel relaxed. Super host! Would definitely stay here again!!!
Clean, Comfy and Great Location
This cabin is in the middle of Branson, yet is secluded enough to give you privacy from the touristy vibe of the town. It has a very quiet and relaxing feel to it and is immaculately decorated. It was very clean too and offered a homey feel that made us feel right at home. We enjoyed the gas log fireplace and It was so nice to have a full kitchen (with extras like a crop pot to cook with) and we were able to prepare several meals here to save money from going out. The owners were easy to communicate with and addressed any questions that we had. We would recommend this property and we hope to stay here again!
We absolutely loved the location. We had a few questions and the owner answered quickly. Felt that the cabin could have been a little cleaner. There was lots of dust on the items placed above the cabinets, baseboards in the bathroom were dirty and there was jelly still on some of the Christmas placemats. We also had an issue with the fireplace. The pilot light went out. So no fireplace on the last day. I was concerned about the gas but the owner said that it was fine and there was carbon monoxide detectors in the cabin. Still a little uneasy but relieved.

I am sorry to learn through this review that you felt the cabin was not clean enough. We ask all guests to let us know immediately if anything appears amiss and we would have immediately fixed this if we had known. Our cabin cleanliness is also one of our most common positive comments and we take this very seriously. I appreciate your contacting me on the last day of your stay to notify me that the fireplace pilot light had gone out. I am sorry that this made you feel uneasy and after checking with our repair man, I was able to assure you that you were safe. I offered for him to come out and turn it back on, but since you said that was not necessary, we had it re-lit after you left the next morning. Safety is always a priority so we do make sure that our smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are working and as I assured you, the pilot light going out meant that there was no gas going to the fireplace. Sheets were dirty (hair on the sheets) and there were what appeared to be old blood stains on the comforter. There was an additional undisclosed charge for cleaning that was not part of the initial quote and payment. Therefore not a legitimate cost. The additional payment was required to be made as cash placed in an envelope upon leaving the property. I contested the charge with VRBO and they stated that additional charges could be levied by the property owner, that would be between me and the property owner and therefore was not part of their responsibilities. However, VRBO did take it out of the damage deposit even though it was not for any damage claim. Beware!!!! Based on this experience, a property owner can charge any added, non-disclosed amount and YOU would be required to pay it! WHAT A SCAM!!! My friends son and wife (both attorneys) laughed when I told them. Doubt this gets posted!!!
In regards to online booking for our cabin, I believe in full disclosure. You refer to “hidden fees” but in fact they are clearly displayed in multiple places online and in the cabin. In the “rates” section of our VRBO rental I have clearly noted in that there is a cleaning fee that is to be left for the housekeeper upon departure. This is also noted in the contract, to the extent that the housekeeper fee note is in “bold red” in our contract, so as to not miss it upon review of the contract. The payment reminder for the housekeeper is also listed on the “Departure Procedures” checklist, along with an envelope for payment. When using VRBO, it is their standard policy that guests acknowledge that they have read and agree to the owners contract before entering payment and booking a rental. It is unfortunate that you did not review the contract before securing the rental because all of this information is clearly displayed in the contract and on our website, so as not to confuse renters and to be as transparent as possible. It is also VRBO’s policy that the contract is attached to your rental at the time of booking, so that you have it to refer back to at any time. Additionally, I have gone one step further where just before finalizing your rental, I have a few important house rules listed for review and the cleaning fee is again listed. Between my disclosures and VRBO’s policies to execute a rental, the information was clearly provided to you. I take all feedback seriously. I have over 195 “5 star” reviews and have been on VRBO for over 7 years. I work hard to provide 5 star service and in this customer’s opinion, he did not receive that. I have taken multiple steps (as outlined above) to make our policies, procedures and rates clear and again made a careful review of my website, so if a customer does review the information provided, everything is clearly displayed and I am always available for questions. I want to ensure that our vacation home and its policies are clearly displayed and understood by all of our renters. I do encourage anyone who is new to using VRBO that you read all information that you can and even contact customer service with questions to understand how their rental process works. This customer did contact VRBO customer service during his stay (he never did contact me) and they provided me with the case number and it is documented that they encouraged him to pay the cleaning fee, as they agree it is clearly stated multiple times prior to executing the rental.
The cabin was awesome! It was already decorated for Christmas which helped prepare us for the Christmas shows we had planned. Both bedrooms were roomy as well as the bathrooms. We definitely will stay here again if we are back in Branson.
Christmas decorations up! 2nd time here. Love the floor plan and atmosphere. Close to shopping and restaurants. Couldn’t ask for better.
Branson zipline, op loopafstand van de cabine. Cruise Lake Taneycomo en dock gratis bij het Branson Landing voor een geweldig diner in het White River Fish House. Moonshine Beach, op slechts 10 minuten van onze hut, heeft een zeer mooi zwemgedeelte en de boot lancering op Table Rock Lake voor een nominale vergoeding. Het skiën is geweldig op Table Rock Lake, en de lancering is gratis bij het Table Rock State Park, slechts 10 tot 15 minuten van onze hut. Bull Shoals is een andere fijne meer in de Branson gebied met een gratis boot lancering slechts 20 minuten van onze hut. Breng uw eigen boot of huren bij Table Rock Lake Marina voor een leuke dag op het water! Wij zijn slechts 10 minuten rijden van de Branson Landing, en 20 minuten van Silver Dollar City.
