The pictures do NOT do this place justice! The most unbelievable views you could imagine. Each room has it's own bathroom and felt very private so it was perfect for our large group. Both the manager and the caretaker of the property were both extremely helpful and their communication and planning made our stay a success. I'd HIGHLY recommend this place and would definitely stay here again in the future!
This home is so amazing and thoughtfully designed with every comfort imaginable. While you feel like you are a million miles away, it is just a short drive to experience everything in Napa Valley. We had a private chef cook for us and it was do delicious. The kitchen is a great gathering spot and super fun to hang out there and cook/visit/take in the views.
This Estate was incredible!
We stayed for the month and hosted family and friends of all ages. The home was meticulously designed and has everything you'll need to enjoy the stay. The hosts also have excellent recommendations of wineries, drivers, chefs, and more. Everyone (including their concierge) was a pleasure.
The views are incredible - we felt we were in Tuscany... It's a truly magical place. You get the feeling that you're away from it all, but have the benefit of being close enough to get to town to tour some wineries and have a meal.
Can't wait to come back next year!
If you enjoy sleeping in, being treated well, or have children, this is probably not the house for you. The house is beautiful and well decorated, but when we got there, there were no blinds on most of the windows in the bedrooms. This caused both parents and children to wake up at 5am...
Calling the owner's wife (the manager) to help rectify the situation was a terrible experience, and basically all the communication that I had with her ruined my trip. Maybe I expected too much from her. I expected her to be professional, and have some experience in hospitality. That certainly was not the case.
When I called to explain that this was a big issue (I was frustrated that such a nice and expensive house did not have blinds, but certainly was not rude or mean), the owner's wife first was extremely dismissive, and told me that no one else had this problem. Then her first suggestion was that I could leave! Then she told me that she didn't like my nasty tone multiple times, and said 'maybe I was just tired'... The way she dealt with this situation was completely unprofessional, dismissive, and condescending. She did put together a temporary solution to this issue fairly quickly.
And this was just the beginning of a series of communication with her that made me very upset during what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. She texted me non-stop about pool charges (that of course I paid in full, just not on her tight timeline) and kept texting me to explain how expensive and hard it is to run a house like this. I'm a guest, and it's not my business to care how difficult or expensive it is to run this home. All I care about is having an enjoyable experience, which turned out to be impossible. Her continued pushing and communication about this was so unprofessional, and annoying, it was just another factor into why my interactions with her really ruined my vacation. If she worked at a hotel and dealt with customers this way, she would be fired.
The owner's wife's tone was extremely condescending and dismissive. My interactions with her were extremely unpleasant, and all in all I would never stay at this home again because those interactions ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation.
Another issue with the home itself is that it's on quite a windy road up a steep hill. The babysitter service that we hired told us had they known where this property was, or how difficult it was to get there, they would not have accepted the job.
Comfortable and yet elegant home that is private and secluded, yet close to some of the best Napa Valley wineries and restaurants.
Three families with children stayed in this lovely house, and we had plenty of space and a wonderful time! We lounged beside the gorgeous infinity pool and patio area, looking out over the valley. The photos cannot capture the extreme beauty of this house and surroundings!
The house is clean, and clearly loved by the owners, who have outfitted the property with top quality linens, towels, and other amenities. Our group chose to cook in the spacious and well-stocked kitchen. During meals, we spread out in the spectacular dining room, opening the doors to views of the rolling hills, complete with unique Napa Valley light.
In short, this is a fabulous house, definitely recommend staying here as it is a true gem.
If you're looking for a beautiful Napa retreat, look no further. I can't put into words how beautiful this house and the scenery is. It's the nicest place I've ever slept and the views of the hills and vineyards are amazing. I've traveled to Tuscany and Umbria and the view from this house made me feel like I was back in Italy. I stayed at this picturesque property with two other families, 11 people in total, 5 of them kids (between the ages of 6 and 2). Even though there were 5 kids it didn't feel like a zoo because the house is so spacious. It could easily accommodate 4 families. It is very kid and toddler friendly, almost all on one level and no breakables within reach. After a day of swimming, the kids loved watching a movie in the theater (and I was even impressed by the picture quality). Every inch of this house is beautifully done with top of the line finishes and materials. The beds are very comfortable (an important factor for me). It's brand new and looks exactly like the pictures, no photo shop. The outdoor spaces are as magnificent as the house. We spent the majority of our time in or around the large infinity pool (and hot tub) drinking wine and enjoying the view. The pool is great for the little ones because there is a large area that is very shallow- it's great for a toddler to just sit and play. There's also a large grassy area perfect for kids to play or adults to relax in and enjoy the equally amazing views from this side of the house. I can't say enough about this house and the location. If you're looking to relax or hang out with friends, this is the place for you.
