Het Hostal El Sol is een mooie structuur gaat terug tot het einde van 1700 te zijn succesvol gerenoveerd in 2006. Dit gezellige compleet ingerichte appartement is gelegen op de eerste verdieping, met een elegant nieuw meubilair en marmeren vloeren. Alle houten deuren / ramen open naar een binnenplaats waardoor het een koloniale uitstraling. Dit appartement heeft een unieke lay-out; de woonkamer opent naar de keuken en de keuken opent naar een familiekamer die twee mensen kunnen slapen in een slaapbank. Op dit gebied vindt u een walk-in closet en een badkamer met vloeren en muren bedekt met travertijn marmer vinden. Op de top van de familie kamer is er een mezzanine dat wordt geopend door een massief houten trap met een klassieke Old San Juan look. Op dit niveau vindt u de slaapkamer, met een queen size matras en een zit- / leeshoek. 16 ft plafond, ss apparaten, twee slaapbanken, twee satelliet-tv en een iPod-geluidsinstallatie. Op loopafstand van de beste restaurants en historische bezienswaardigheden. Wifi en een eigen parkeerplaats voor een nominale vergoeding.
The listing is just as described, had all amenities, in the heart of Old San Juan, we were able to walk the area, taking in the historical sites & enjoying great dining. The locals were friendly and helpful. The condo and building was well maintained. Elsa was available & helpful. The garage was a few minute walk with good service. We would highly recommend this condo.
This was our first trip to Puerto Rico. Our family was a party of 4 (with 2 kids) and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The property is located in heart of downtown and there were a lot of fun places within walking distance.
The house was clean, spacious and had good security. Just a minor disturbance was a barking dog in another floor. I appreciate Elsa, Maria and Margarita for their assistance provided to us and will strongly recommend for the unique experience to get away from the hotel style.
We rented a car and were provided a garage parking a block away from our stay. It was not too far, but a bit away and was very helpful, as the street parking was always full.

This is a great apartment in the heart of old San Juan. The apartment is attractive and comfortable.
We were very impressed with the apartment's proximity to nearly everything we wanted to see or do. Shops, restaurants, bars, a grocery, and drug store are all within a short walk. The apartment was immaculately maintained and well-stocked with every utensil a guest may require for cooking. The interior is beautifully restored with granite, old carved wood, marble floors -- very true to the Spanish tradition. We were welcomed by a wonderful hostess, Margarita, who not only explained the apartment well, but gave us a thumbnail sketch of the neighborhood and its resources. She was also available throughout the week to offer suggestions and advice about our daily adventures.
Keep in mind, however, that you are staying in a different country with a different way of life. The bed in the apartment's mezzanine is available only by a steep ladder/stair arrangement.Not an arrangement we in America are accustomed to. We slept below on the sofa bed. We also did not enjoy a private courtyard -- it's shared by the apartment building, although it is beautiful as pictured. All the shuttered openings/doors open to the inside courtyard which we found is pretty common in Old San Juan. Too bad we needed to keep the shutters closed to use the air conditioning.
Overall it was a great experience. The only negatives were cultural differences. So much more fun to have a cultural experience rather than staying in a boring American hotel.
WOW! This place was incredible. Situated on one of the best streets in Old San Juan, you simply can't ask for a better location than this. The owner was incredibly responsive and super easy to work with and the onsite manager, Margarita was fantastic as well. The apartment is fully stocked with absolutely everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Our favorite part was returning in the afternoon and opening up all the doors to the inner courtyard and relaxing out there under the umbrella - a more beautiful spot to avoid the afternoon heat simply can't be found. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be in Old San Juan and cannot wait to return again!!!
We were very pleased to find this apartment in such a central location. Easy walking everywhere. The courtyard is charming and was lovely for some dinners "at home". The kitchen is very well appointed and stocked with lots of basics.
We would caution potential renters that the sleeping accommodation in the loft is not exactly as advertised. It is definitely NOT "suitable for elderly or infirm". You must be prepared to climb up and down a ladder, not stairs, and that's not easy to do for those who are less mobile. The one bathroom is downstairs, so it creates a challenge. The alternate sofa bed offered is definitely not a comfortable alternative for two. The photos of this apartment don't represent the actual spaces or furniture.
We would not rent this apartment again, but would definitely be looking around the same neighborhood.
Het Sol Street ligt in een bevoorrechte omgeving dicht bij de meest emblematische plaatsen van het Old San Juan gebied. Het appartement ligt op een paar blokken van de San Cristobal Fort El Morro Fort, La Fortaleza (PR gouverneurs huis), Plaza de Armas, Plaza Colon, de kathedraal (de tweede oudste kathedraal in het westelijk halfrond), Capilla del Cristo, en vele anderen. Ook vindt u op loopafstand vele winkels, apotheken, restaurants, pubs, bars, zelfs een mooie casino. De Cruises terminal is op loopafstand.
