* LET OP: deze accommodatie voldoet aan het bestemmingsplan van Talbot County, dat regelmatig korte-termijnverhuur controleert en een strikt minimum van drie nachten hanteert. Als u andere eigendommen vindt die slechts 2 overnachtingen adverteren, zijn deze in strijd en kan uw reservering worden geannuleerd.

We bieden een verblijf van minimaal drie nachten voor de herfst- en wintermaanden. Kleinere groepen geaccepteerd en "appartement alleen" verhuur. Het is niet nodig om het hele huis te huren! Diep water dock zal geschikt zijn voor een 52 'jacht! Vang verse vis en ga krabben, en twee kajaks zijn beschikbaar. Het uitzicht is wijd open en kan worden genoten vanuit de meeste kamers. Het bruisende zwembad grenst aan een uitgestrekte veranda waar u de kinderen kunt bekijken, een krabfeest kunt houden of gewoon kunt genieten van het weidse uitzicht op het water. U kunt het einde van een perfecte dag vieren door de zonsondergang op het dok met cocktails te bekijken. Als u over water wilt aankomen, is de MLW-diepte 4 1 / 2-6 voet aan het einde van het dok waar 40 'zeilboten zijn ondergebracht. Uw gezin kan genieten van varen, zwemmen, vissen, krabben, fietsen en prachtige wandelingen maken vanaf dit privéterrein van 4 hectare op een panoramisch punt. Als je wilt verkennen, kun je met je fiets naar de Oxford / Bellevue Ferry voor 9 auto's / passagiers rijden (op slechts enkele minuten afstand), die je naar het schilderachtige en mooie dorp Oxford brengt, waar er een aantal geweldige restaurants, een park, en uitvoeringen in het Tred Avon Theater. Fietsen door de stad en daarbuiten is erg schilderachtig met heel weinig verkeer. De grotere stad Easton, 20 minuten. weg, biedt kunstgalerijen, golfbanen, lekker en informeel dineren, veel winkels, films en live entertainment in het volledig gerestaureerde, historische art-deco Avalon Theater. Het Chesapeake Maritime Museum, gastronomisch / informeel dineren, antiek, boetieks en golf zijn beschikbaar in het nabijgelegen Victoriaanse dorp St. Michaels. U kunt uzelf daar ook verwennen met een spabehandeling en lekker eten in 'The Inn at Perry Cabin', een resort in Orient-Express ... tegenover de Miles River. Dit alles bevindt zich op slechts 1 1/2 uur. uit Washington of Baltimore. Bootverhuur is ook beschikbaar in jachthavens in de omgeving.

We were pleasantly surprised that the house is the end of the small road with several private acres. The layout offered main floor bed/bath for my parents, 2nd floor 3b/3b for my brother and his teens, and an attached garage apartment for my husband and I. The pool was fun and well kept. The dock was protected and allowed us to rent a boat and the guys to fish. The kitchen had everything a gourmet chef could imagine. Our main difficulty was that there was no easy place/way to launch kayaks or paddleboards. That said, it was a very enjoyable trip.

It is a perfect place for a family gathering, chess table, pool table, hot tub and the outdoor pool with a fantastic view! There is a round table for a family discussion too.

Fantastic stay for a family get together
Fantastic stay for a family get together - Plenty of beds, and though the master suite is an open space with impacted privacy, it is big and it does have its own balcony, which is nice. The home is very well-kept and maintained, the owner and the property manager are both very responsive and helpful. The absolute best part of this house is the outdoor space including an expansive screened in porch, a wonderful pool, lovely Jacuzzi, fire pit, pier, all on a large grassy peninsula on the Chesapeake. The neighborhood was a great area to walk around in, with a nearby ferry to Oxford. A short 15 minute drive to charming Saint Michaels, was also a lovely perk. We enjoyed our stay very much, and this home is certainly in our starred list for return visits :-)

Bonate'
Bonate’ is a treasure nestled between St. Michaels and Oxford on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Three generations of our family spent a long Labor Day weekend there, after 18 months apart. We could not have found a better spot, with everything from a private pool (complete with an inflatable alligator, whose name is “Pete,” according to the youngest family member) to landscaping (with redwood and walnut trees) to a variety of birds (with guidebooks and binoculars at hand) – all framed by spectacular views across the water from sunrise to sunrise. We were welcomed by a kind note from the owner, alerting us to a few idiosyncrasies that were not surprising in a home which is a treasure – for example, one shower control is mislabeled even though carrying the brand of a major manufacturer. The welcome was continued when we were met at the home by the local agent. On our first walk-around, we discovered that the previous day’s storms (accompanying two F2 tornadoes) had damaged furniture around the pool and broken several tree limbs. Fortunately, there was no damage to the home. The agent immediately began cleaning the pool herself. Shortly after, we left for lunch and grocery shopping. When we returned a few hours later, we found that everything had been repaired. The local agent was equally quick to respond to questions about the house and to offer recommendations for shopping, dining, or just being lazy. The home itself is an architectural masterpiece. Each of the four bedrooms has a television and a full bath (one with shower/tub, two with showers, and the master with shower and tub); each has a private, screened balcony; each has large windows, with everything being larger in the master. There are other details (a games room, with television and pool table; a sitting area with round dining table; and a fully equipped kitchen with its own TV); but no description can adequately describe the details that make the house a treasure. The house is filled with collections from lifetimes of travel, from large (hand-painted animals from merry-go-rounds) to small (figures of cats guard every room), with duck decoys in abundance. More personal collections include one honoring George Washington which surrounds the main staircase, and a pair of framed, first pages from the New York Times reporting the sinking of the Titanic. And always, creaking wood-plank floors served as a reminder that the house is a home with living memories.
