The lakefront cottage has been recently renovated while maintaining that vintage charm!

This is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage right on Lake Michigan w/ 100' of private sandy beachfront, the cottage sits in a beautiful bluff in a state recognized Critical Dune Area.

This is the perfect getaway location for those living busy lives who want to reconnect with nature. The vast starry nights and sounds of water lapping on the shore offer an incredible night's sleep. Almost a mile of wooded, winding road to the hummingbird house is a beautiful way to escape into this beachfront cottage.

Having been in our family since 1970, the Hummingbird House maintains its original midcentury modern aesthetic, while having been updated with modern amenities. Recently installed 100mbps high-speed internet is ideal for those who are looking for a place to getaway while being able to stay connected for remote work, remote school or to get started on the your novel. Air conditioning and heating will keep you comfortable no matter the season or weather conditions.

The surrounding area offers quaint rural activities, including top rated golf courses, dozens of microbreweries, charming antiquing, and fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers markets. As longtime locals to the area, the host's can recommend sites that include hidden treasures and off the beaten path adventures.

It was lovely!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view from the deck was unbelievable and so quiet. The cottage was perfect for sharing with my sister and her husband because they had the entire lower level to themselves, including their own entrance. Everything you could want is provided.We couldn't get enough of the beach and hope to go back again.

Really nice house with a beautiful view. Spent a lot of time sitting on deck. Lots of chairs including beach chairs. Would definitely consider returning. Great communication from owners.

Quaint, quiet, private and relaxing
Good layout providing beautiful view of Lake Michigan from the deck, kitchen and living area. Kids enjoyed the bunk beds and children’s toys and books in the play area. Beach chairs and sand toys at the beach were perfect. Heating and cooling worked well. Bluetooth speakers and wifi worked well; able to enjoy music, movies and join video conferences for work.

My sister in law took our 6 adult daughters for a well needed get together. We had a wonderful time. The cottage was so nice the pictures don’t do it justice. The sunsets were breath taking.

Fantastic property for a beach getaway
Our group came into town from Seattle and after a long journey we were thrilled with our decision to stay here. The property has a fantastic view overlooking Lake Michigan and includes easy beach access which is surprisingly private. The house fit our group of 8 comfortably and everyone slept comfortably. Overall we had a fantastic stay and I would absolutely recommend this property to others.

This is a family cottage that we have stayed in since I was a child. I was raised in Illinois and spent the summers exploring the natural beauty of Lake Michigan coastline at the cottage. I loved this place so much I eventually moved to the area and am now a long time resident of West Michigan and love everything it has to offer.
