De Harvey Nicole: Mooie Ocean Front Condo Grand Cayman

Far removed from the touristy side of the island, but with plenty of access to waterfront restaurants. The unit is lovely. Just perfect. The building is small so you often have the pool to yourself. Something to keep in mind is that along the north coast there is natural seagrass growing in the ocean near the beach (I'm not talking about the dead stuff that floats on top of the water and randomly impacts various Caribbean beaches). The coral reef is still very alive just off the beach, It's very ecologically interesting, but bring water shoes. If you want a shallow, sandy, protected bit of ocean head down to Rum Point (about two miles away). It's free and there is plenty of shade. There was hardly anyone there in mid-May. It's also a great place to rent snorkel gear.

We had a wonderful stay at Harvey & Nicole’s! The unit was very clean and stocked with all the necessities! Plenty of towels and a washer and dryer! Definitely pack lightly! The 2 bedrooms with attached baths were separated by the living room! Plenty of privacy! The pool and the ocean were just out the back door! There is a lovely screened Lanai that can be entered off either bedroom and living room! We practically lived out there! We were there 10 days and it wasn’t enough! We love to do nothing on our vacations and this was the perfect place for relaxation! Things to do were easy to access and we did access them when we wanted! If you want to avoid crowds, have peace and relaxation, but be able to do things as you want, this is the place for you! We rented a car and had an assortment of activities at our fingertips with a little drive! Rum point was maybe 2 miles and busy 7 miles beach was just a 45 min to an hour drive! We ate in about half the time and went out whenever we wanted! Some condiments left in fridge and spices in cupboards to assist in cooking! BBQ grill on property easy to access and use! Really couldn’t ask for more! We will definitely return!

Nicole Harvey is an amazing condo located in a very quiet and peaceful section of the island. The condo had spacious bedrooms and a front view to the pool and ocean.

It’s unfortunate the sargassum seaweed problem detracts from the beach experience, mainly making beach walks unenjoyable, and reducing the enjoyment of swimming, not to mention the views.

The location is nice, very close to rum point and if you go west to public beach (the one with the parking lot and washrooms) you will find excellent snorkelling (swim out towards the waves breaking).

The property is on good shape overall. The interiors of these units are dated but you get what you pay for!
