Mill Branch feeds Irish Creek and has its own Timber Frame Trout Farm available for private Stockings in Irish Creek.

The name of IRISH CREEK CROSSINGS came from the early 1900s Logging of the Irish Creek Valley . This valley had 50 miles of narrow gauge Railroad track stretching from Cornwall Va to Montebello Va built in 1919-1920. These Mountains had over 100 million board feet of timber Harvested that passed over the 50 miles of tracks .
Sawmills sawed an estimated 80,000 bd ft a day which with today’s modern mills is still challenging. In this 50 miles of track the old Railroad crossed Irish Creek 8 times . IRISH CREEK CROSSINGS is the site on #6 & #7 crossings. Also on this 22acres was the former site of Tyree’s Grist Mill that ground corn and barley as it was told.
