Perfect for our needs. Quiet, clean, good location. Lovely condo and the owners were very nice.
A Great Place to Use as a Base.
The condo was an ideal base for us to use to explore the Banff /Lake Louise area. The condo itself is welcoming and has the most wonderful views of the mountains from almost every window. It was well stocked with everything we needed for our few days stay. The location is perfect - across the street is a large supermarket and next door is a liquor store - it is all very convenient.
Great location, close to everything you would need
Comfortable and convenient stay in Canmore
I stayed at this property in Canmore for four nights while doing sightseeing in the area with my parents. We used Canmore as our base for our various sightseeing adventures. The condo is well equipped with everything you need and has a convenient location so that you can walk to the grocery stores, restaurants, and downtown shops. It was unseasonably warm while we were there but most of the windows open and two large fans are provided which was great. Mark was extremely helpful and responsive. The national parks pass was very handy as well. Canmore is a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of Banff, yet extremely convenient to see all of the local sights, and a better value for money.
My family and I stayed here mid Feb and it was amazing! The pictures don't do it any justice! First of all, the communication between the property owners was flawless. They were super nice, easy and quick to communicate with. The place was very clean. The fire place and the heated floors are a huge bonus, especially during the -30 days. It's within walking distance of groceries. There are two bathrooms. The kitchen is huge and has everything you need. I would recommend staying here to anyone and everyone!
Great Location and Excellent Accommodations
This property is very nice. It is spacious with two bedrooms, two baths, and a combined kitchen, dining, and family room. It is well appointed with all the comforts of home. In fact, the kitchen had many of the common seasonings and condiments necessary to compliment our home cooked meals. There is a large, well stocked grocery just across the parking lot and also a Safeway about a block away. Between these two stores you can find all the groceries you need or want. There are also three liquor stores within easy walking distance. The unit also has a full size washer and dryer set, did I mention Full Size -- how nice! The unit also had detergent for the washer on hand.
The views from this third floor unit are outstanding! I particularly enjoyed sitting in the family room with my morning coffee looking through the window and watching the sun light spread on the mountain, "Lady McDonald". We stayed here during Christmas week and truely enjoyed Canmore. The town center is within easy walking of the unit. We attended a Christmas Eve service in a small church in town and were welcomed with open arms by the locals. People in Canmore, in my view, are very friendly.
There are lots of things to do in and aroud Canmore most of which you can find recommendations for on line through Trip Advisor or the like. One thing we really enjoyed that is a bit off the radar was a visit to the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary near Cochrane about 45 minutes away. There were 26 wolfs and wolfdogs present and we signed up for the tour that included a 45 minute presentation by an onsite biologist and access to an enclosure where you could safely take pictures of the wolfs unobstructed in their enclosure. Well worth the reasonable cost for the upgrade beyond just walking around on your own and viewing the animals in their enclosures through fences. The wolf is an apex preditor and as such should never be considered for a pet.
All-in-all, this is a great property in a great location. Canmore is a wonderful town without all the crazyness of Banff or Lake Louise! The owners, Mark and Kelly, are easy to work with and want you to have a great stay! When we were there they had an annual Banff/Jasper Park pass available for guests as well as a grocery card to use. The park pass is a real money saver because you need a pass to drive into the parks, even on highways 1 and 93. I give this unit and its owners 5 stars.
