Little Piece of Heaven
We just enjoyed 10 wonderful days at this wonderful VRBO. The setting is quiet and tranquil, with a patio table and chairs and Adirondack chairs to enjoy the view. It is situated on a canal that connects with a lake that was perfect for kayaking, which the homeowner will let you use! The fifth wheel trailer was spacious, with all of the amenities of home. There is also cable TV and WIFI. We enjoy camping, but we have never had it this good. The nearby town of Inverness is a must see with great places to eat. If you like to bicycle, there are trails nearby and bike rental shops.
We had never been to Florida before, and one of our favorite things to do was just sit outside nature watching, listening to the birds and frogs and the breeze in the beautiful moss-draped trees. Christine and Ted were exceptional hosts who made sure we had everything we needed. If you are looking for the perfect getaway place, this is it.
My husband and I stayed here for about 2 and 1/2 weeks and I absolutely loved the place. It is peaceful and serene. The unit is exactly as shown in the pictures. It is located on a nice size lot right on a canal, with a couple of beautiful live oak trees. We saw river otter, sandhill cranes and other birds. Also, there are a couple of kayaks to use and I so enjoyed paddling around the canals. If you are a nature lover you will be happy with this place. It is about a 15 minute, 5 mile drive to town. The owners live next door if you need anything, but are not intrusive. There can be airboat noise at times, particularly during some weekend hours, but overall not a big thing. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Quiet and comfortable
We decided to stay here to get a feel for 5th Wheels as we consider an RV purchase in the future. Wow! Good choice. Ted and Christine were most welcoming and made sure we knew the necessary points for an enjoyable stay. Surprisingly spacious. Very comfortable, including the bed. A quiet location. They offered use of the kayak but unfortunately we did not have time to go out. It looked very inviting. The town of Inverness is quaint and fun. This location is about 5 miles from town. We would certainly recommend this stay. Could be a fun change of pace from hotel stays. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer and simply relaxed more at the property. (We had some commitments that kept us away most of the day.) And we are pretty sure that a 5th Wheel will be the way for us to go as well when we are ready to make a purchase.
Thank-you for your review much appreciated.

This was perfect hideaway for me
I've been home a week now & hard to believe how much simpler life was in the middle of chain o'lakes near Inverness. This RV vacation rental popped up in my feed as available & I quickly grabbed it for 3 weeks to test out my theory - can I work fulltime from an RV? YES! I work remotely so just need reliable high speed internet which Ted made sure I had. I was able to work from the corner desk you can see in the photos & it was heaven. I could look out the windows as I worked to see the birds & squirrels - especiallly enjoyed the tall cranes/storks & cows nearby. I drove down with my kayak so I could fulfill my ideal dream day..to work, go out for a paddle around the neighborhood, then return to working remotely from my computer. Right next to me was the TV & electric fireplace to easily adjust for warmth on those chilly days & listen to my favorite programs. My only complaint (4 stars instead of 5) is the cable TV - Spectrum - was intermittent & you never knew when it would work or start buffering & freeze up. But since I was working & read a lot, books, magazines & the paper when I went to the store to get it, this did not really bother me. I could always watch on my computer via streaming or even my iphone when in bed. I found this adventure to suit my needs perfectly, to be IN nature, surrounded by peace & quiet & water in a "tiny" home. I really loved the setup of this 5th wheeler with the slideouts, the design was fantastic with the kitchen counter/sink, 3 burner stove/oven & microwave plus refrigerator/freezer and even a washer/dryer to do my laundry once. The city of Inverness is about 10 minutes away with a downtown area, library, stores, restaurants etc, everything you need including Walmart & Publix. I found it fascinating to walk around the neighborhood, seeng the front of the homes around the "islands" & then paddling around the neighborhood & seeing the backyards. So easy to chat with neighbors & meet plenty of people from all over, especially at the hidden treasure,The Cove pub where you could even drive your boat to if you want, how special is that? Ted & Chris were right next door for anything I needed but yet left me alone to work & play at will. I highly recommend this VRBO to anyone who loves nature, water and being "in the middle of nowhere" yet have everything you need nearby. Went to Ocala couple times but otherwise this met my desires perfectly. Experiment worked! Just wish the weather had been warmer..
