Gelegen in de "werkelijke" City of London, aan de noordkant van de Thames, we zijn letterlijk 2 minuten lopen naar de Tower Bridge, 4 minuten Tower Gateway voor de Docklands Light Railway, 5 minuten Tower Hill metro en de Tower Pier voor de rivier taxi's, 5 mins Fenchurch Street Station, 5 minuten Aldgate buis - en uiterst handig voor een reeks Londense bussen. Mooie en rustige grote beschutte tuin met zitbanken en struiken, bomen en struiken - slechts 1 minuut van het appartement.

Normale check-in is na 16. 00 uur en check-out is vereist door 10. 00 uur, tenzij anders is overeengekomen. Dit is puur om dat de reiniging en de voorbereiding van het appartement niet in gevaar wordt gebracht voor de volgende gast. Op minder drukke tijden kunnen we en zullen meer flexibel.
Wij, of onze vertegenwoordiger, zal 'meet & greet' u bij aankomst, en zal u de sleutels en informatie over het appartement en de omgeving, afgestemd persoonlijk aan u geven, met de bedoeling u krijgt het beste uit uw Londen bezoek.
Het appartement is erg handig voor cafés, pubs en restaurants en heeft veel in de directe nabijheid. Er is een Tesco supermarkt onder het blok, net om de hoek, en een geldautomaat geldautomaat. Er is ook een Sainsbury supermarkt binnen 100 meter. Deze supermarkten zijn open 7 dagen per week van 's ochtends vroeg tot 09:00 of 10:00 - iets eerder dicht op zondag.
Het openbaar vervoer in Londen scene is geweldig deze dagen, en het is waarschijnlijk een goed idee om een Travel Card, die onbeperkt reizen met bussen, buizen en de Docklands Light Railway, plus kortingen op de Emirates kabelbaan en de rivier van Theems bussen zullen aanbieden aan te schaffen. Een Travel Card kan worden gekocht, op voorhand van uw bezoek, voor kortere of langere tijd - door de Transport for London website. Als je geen tijd hebt om te kunnen worden gemaild naar je, het kan worden verstuurd naar het adres van het appartement, waar we het zal houden voor uw bezoek.
We had a great stay in this lovely apartment. The place was totally new and spotless. The owners thought of everything we could've needed. The apartment is situated near both the Underground and the DLR, so getting around London is very easy. A supermarket is located in the same building, so getting your necessities is also very easy. Finding a good restaurant is not a problem in London, but we can defenitely recommend the pub "Minories" nearby! All in all a great stay and we'll surely visit again, if we get the chance!!!
My wife and I spent 7 days in this flat. It is equipped with EVERYTHING one could need. It is an ideal location for exploring all that London has to offer. Bonnie and Barry could not have been more helpful before and during our stay. I highly recommend this rental.
My life and I spent 12 nights in this fantastic flat, which is centrally located as a great base for seeing London. The flat is in perfect condition, with new appliances throughout. The kitchen is well appointed and complete with everything one could ask for. We were amazed at how complete the flat was. Other than food and drink, everything was provided for us. Around the corner from the flat are two grocery stores, and the area has many pubs and places to eat. The Tower Hill and Aldgate tube stops are both under a ten minute walk from the flat. The area is very quiet at night, and the building itself is very secure. Bonnie and Carol were great communicators, providing us with all we needed to know about the flat and the area. There were also several guide books and brochures for various attractions. I would stay again in this flat in a heartbeat. It was terrific.
We are a mature Aust. couple and stayed in this apartment for two weeks earlier this year. The description and reviews are all accurate, the accommodation was modern and spacious the location was close to tube stations, a local pub, good eating places and tourist attractions. We found it was an easy walk over The Tower Bridge to South Bank and all that area has to offer a real feature. No problems with security either in regard to the building or the location. Bonnie and her helper made sure all those little things were taken care of, meeting us with keys, showing us around the appt. making sure we knew our way to the tube etc. We would have no hesitation in advising any intending guest to stay at this property for a short or long stay. Our impressions are all favourable and we have great memories of the accommodation and the area.
We stayed for 7 wonderful nights in the most comfortable bed ever!! And the linens were delicious, too. I loved the red tiled kitchen where I cooked every night. My husband loved the dishwasher that he loaded & ran every night! The grocery store was conveniently around the corner. We appreciated the windows that opened and let in the cool evening air while we watched a movie or cooking show before retiring. We felt safe and secure for our first visit to London as we were on the second floor in a locked building. The lift was a bonus because we were tired at the end of each adventurous day.
The first day, we walked to the Tower of London! Then had lunch right next to the Thames with a beautiful view of Tower Bridge. We then walked to Tower Bridge! It was all right there; the river, the famous Tower and Bridge; like out of a movie. We then crossed the bridge and walked along the new scenic river route all the way to the Millinium Bridge! It was a Great first day in London. There were lots of places to stop for coffee, tea, and treats. Other attractions, too. Every day we had a new adventure utilizing our Oyster Card.
Our last vacation was five years ago and we stayed in a very expensive hotel and had a very tiny room. I did not like it. I went without a decent meal for 2 weeks.I found out about programs where people rented out apartments for vacationers. I then found home away.com.
Bonnie was the first person I contacted about renting an apartment. She was very intuitive about my travel concerns. She helped me by giving me names of programs and resources for travel and attractions. She gave me the names of apps to help with self guided walking and tubing. One of the best things Bonnie did for us was to arrange a private car to meet and greet us at Gatwick Airport. We had a long flight and were concerned. We did not want to rent a car. A very nice and handsome retired chauffeur came to the airport. He whisked us away and landed us gently at the Marlyn Lodge where Carol was waiting in the parking lot to meet us. She was very pleasant and easy to talk with. She gave us an orientation about the apartment and building.
Yes, I do recommend this apartment. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. I am a registered nurse who loves cleanliness. And a woman who loves comfort, this place had both. There were extra pillows for my back, soft towels for my skin, and laundry detergent for washing my clothes. It was perfect!
I spent the first half of June 2015 in this flat, and recommend it highly. I have visited London over 20 times over the years, and never stayed in the same VRBO twice. When I return to London next year I plan to stay at Bonnie & Barry's flat, which is situated two or three blocks north of Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.
Here's why: London is a huge city, and unless you want to do all of your business, sight-seeing and theatre-going in one specific area, the secret is to stay very near to tube (the subway) and bus stops. London is too big -- you simply can't pick a rental flat that is near everything. This flat is less than three blocks from three different tube stops, the terminus of the Docklands Light Railway, and a bus stop that will carry you on the #15 and #25 bus west to the West End.
With a doorman during daylight hours, a secure building, a lift (elevator) to your floor -- this flat is just the ticket for one or two visitors. There are grocery stores very nearby should you want to have breakfast and the occasional dinner at "home". If you enjoy cooking, Bonnie and Barry have outfitted this flat's kitchen to a very high standard -- just remember, as a courtesy, to replace the things you use for the next guest.
There are both dish and clothes washers, but no clothes dryer. This really isn't a problem if you plan ahead a bit. If you're only in town for a few days, getting your laundry done isn't such a problem, but if you're staying for two weeks or more, you need to find a solution. This flat's equipment solves that problem.
The flat is really spotless, with plenty of extras such as blankets, sheet sets, and pillows should you need them. I didn't spend a lot of time in the flat watching television, but it's there and works great.
One of my little aggravations when traveling is that -- on a nice evening -- I like to open the windows. You'd be surprised how many flats in London have them painted shut. But not this place -- they have the European style that swings open left to right, or just the top tilts back if it's raining. A very nice touch.
I could ramble on about how much I like this flat, but I think you get the picture. If you want a clean, neat, well-equipped rental flat convenient to central London, this is your place.
One last comment: When you come to London, learn how to use the public transport available by tube and bus. The tube is faster/cheaper than a taxi, and never gets stuck in traffic!
Fantastische locatie in de buurt van het DLR Tower Hill, Zeer korte wandeling naar verschillende metrolijnen, talloze bussen, Thames rivier bussen. Slechts een paar minuten lopen van de Tower Bridge, St Katharine's Dock, nationale spoor bij Fenchurch Street en Liverpool Street, bussen en buizen naar alle delen van het centrum van Londen, met inbegrip van Borough Market, St Paul's, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Theater land, Leadenhall Market, Spitalfields Market. RV1 bus rechtstreeks naar de Globe, Zuid-bank, London Eye, winkelen in Oxford Street, Regent Street, etc. Supermarkt onder het blok plus ATM geldautomaat. Tijdelijke lidmaatschap van de sportschool in het gebouw. Binnen een paar minuten kunt u zich op de Tower Bridge, of het oversteken van het te voet naar de zuidkant van de Theems door Stadhuis en HMS Belfast, Hays Galleria en London Bridge.
