Great condo close to the beach and very clean.

We loved the condo especially the large roof top deck. The resort is tropical and beautiful. We always felt safe with the great staff watching over the resort. We were in building B which I thought would be quite a walk carrying the beach chairs but it was still so close. The large hot tub was great. The location of the resort was close enough to walk to the harbor, the pier or shops and restaurants downtown.

This unit was just as pictured in North Coast Village. We rented it primarily for the rooftop deck off of the master bedroom and the lagoon style pool and hot tub. We were not disappointed with any of this. The rooftop deck is what separates this apartment from the others in North Coast Village. The unit was clean and had a sufficient number of towels and supplies,. The living room furniture was not very comfortable but we thought that might be the case from looking at the pictures before we arrived. The two things we were concerned about were the train noise and lack of air conditioning, neither of which were really a problem at all. And I am a light sleeper. We kept the windows open all the time and it’s nice to hear the ocean at night. Communication with Liz the realtor was very good and when we initially had trouble with the Wi-Fi she quickly got that resolved for us. North coast village seems primarily to be for young families, lots of kids, and I think that this unit would be ideal for a family with small kids. Noteworthy to me, though perhaps not to others, is the lack of a high definition television signal. There are three new TVs, each with a Blu-ray player, and the TV in the living room is very nice 55 inch but no Hi-def signal. This might be something the owners could consider upgrading, at least in the living room.

We loved the location of the complex. The beach was great and right outside the gate. Our favorite thing was the huge rooftop deck. Some of the units with rooftop decks didn't seem to have much privacy but the layout and location of the deck in this unit was great. We had lots of room and privacy and the view was amazing. The grounds of the complex were well kept and the kids enjoyed the ping pong table and pool.

We didn't do much food preparation but had what we needed for what we did do. There were beach chairs, toys and an umbrella as well as a rolling cooler and cooler bag for the beach. The boogie board in the unit was older and worn so it was uncomfortable on tummies so the kids did not use it.

Overall the unit was pretty clean (some goop stuck on the kitchen faucet) but could use some updating. The cabinets and trim in the unit had peeling paint and just felt sticky because of the moisture from being next to the ocean. There were plenty of towels, including beach towels, along with some basic toiletries, kitchen soap and paper towels. Books, some movies, games and puzzles. The table on the lower level was good sized to fit our family and some guest but we mostly used the tables on the rooftop deck.

As mentioned, the location was great. Walking distance to the pier where there is a small little food stand with good fish tacos. In the other direction by the harbor there are multiple restaurants, shops and ice cream within walking distance. On Thursday we went to the street fair where there was live music, and vendors with food and shopping. It was a fun evening. It was our first time in Oceanside and we would definitely come back
