This apartment was perfect for our family of 5, including 3 young children. There was ample space with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths as well as a full kitchen. We especially enjoyed the terrace overlooking the ocean.
Danielle, the owner, was very accommodating with us. He checked on us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and answered all our questions. He also had great recommendations for restaurants and day trips.
We hope to be back again soon as we truly enjoyed our stay.
We stayed in this apartment in October 2015. It was beautiful! I cannot say enough about this apartment. The family that owns it is very friendly and helpful and the apartment itself...wow! Plenty of room for our family of five. The place was immaculate and the view was gorgeous. Thank you so much!!
My husband, daughter, my daughter's friend and I stayed at Casa Cicogna for four nights. The apartment is beautiful and extremely well maintained. It is close enough to shopping, restaurants, and the beach, but still up high enough to have an extraordinary view! It was difficult to decide whether to sit out on the balcony or go on down to the beach.
The most memorable evening was when Danielle taught the girls how to cook some traditional Positano dishes. They cited that as one of the highlights of their trip. Danielle and his wife were great with the girls and my husband and I enjoyed having the girls cook for us!
I would highly recommend Casa Cicogna for a party of four!
My family and I stayed in Casa Cicogna for 4 nights and it felt like home in paradise! We met the landlord upon our arrival and walked down the 99 steps to the apartment. We didnt mind the steps- as there were alot more to get around the town and to the beach- it really made it local and part of the entire experience. (We hadn't been anywhere else like it). The views from both bedrooms and the terrace off the living space will take your breath away. The best part was how secluded you felt because not another terrace or tourist was insight, yet they live all around you! The apartment itself was beautifully remodelled and learned that all the work had been done from the family- very impressive, including the glass "viewhole" at the bottom of the steps to show the rock which the apartment was built on- very thoughtful! The showers had great rainfall showerheads with great pressure and hot water, the downstairs bathroom had a washing machine and the kitchen was fully equipped! We loved the terrace and spent every morning and evening with espresso and wine to enjoy the view. Overall Positano was our favorite place on the Amalfi Coast- and day trips to Amalfi and Capri made us appreciate the quaint, family-friendly beach town Positano offered! There was a small market shop at hte top of the 99 steps, nearby restaurants and bars, and then a great beach and more shops/restaurants about 300 steps down in the center of town. All accessible thru walking or the inner-Positano bus. I would reccommend a stay at Casa Cicogna to anyone who wants the full experience of a local in Positano!
We spent a wonderful 4 nights at this property in Positano! The apartment was very large and clean with an amazing view. The hosts were wonderful and assisted us with where to eat and things to do. They are so sweet and welcoming people.
The apartment was well equipped and we used the kitchen to make breakfast and lunch to enjoy on the terrace. There are a lot of steps up from the beach but like others said, it is great for working off the many indulgences we treated ourselves to while in Positano.
The shower was great, lots of hot water, and we did not have issues with the wifi. I can't say enough about good things about the location or the hosts!
I hope to get the opportunity to stay here again!
We stayed at Casa Cicogna for three nights in June and it was lovely. We were met at the road and helped find our way down the stairs to the apartment, where we felt like we were living like a local. The host will also help you arrange porter service for your baggage. The apartment is split between two floors, with two bedrooms and a den/sitting room, and a bathroom upstairs, and the kitchen, lounge, second full bath and terrace downstairs. We didn't end up using the kitchen at all because it was so much fun to walk into town for our meals. The climb back up from the beach was strenuous but we got used to it and it was helpful to work off all that food we were enjoying.
The WiFi didn't work very well and, as another reviewer commented, the air conditioning is just in the lounge and the main bedroom. We didn't have any trouble though using a fan in the second bedroom and we were there in late June.
