Geen aanstoot, maar je hebt het verpest! Herfstgebladerte is prachtig in de Berkshires (bekijk de foto's). Maar de sneeuw komt eraan en het gebied wordt magisch. Ongeacht het seizoen, ons huis is meer dan alleen een plek om te verblijven. Genesteld op bijna zes beboste hectare, compleet met een zwembad, gigantisch verborgen apart gazon perfect voor gazonspellen, overvloedige tuinen en een afgeschermde veranda, het huis heeft alles wat u nodig heeft voor een idyllische vakantie op een idyllische locatie. Gelegen aan de rand van de grens met New York, Massachusetts, is het huis niet alleen dichtbij skiën, maar ook gunstig gelegen dicht bij Tanglewood (live muzieklocatie), Jacobs Pillow (dansvoorstellingen) en de historische steden van de Berkshires (Lee, Lenox, Stockbridge). Andere activiteiten in het gebied zijn wandelen in de staatsparken van New York en Massachusetts, varen, antiquing, een wekelijkse live veiling en theater. Zelfs als u ervoor kiest om dicht bij huis te blijven, heeft u tal van mogelijkheden voor buitenentertainment, van zwemmen in het verwarmde zwembad, badminton of croquet spelen op het grote grasveld achter het afgesloten zwemgedeelte, tot fietsen langs de glooiende landerijen van de buurt. Skiliefhebbers kunnen ervoor kiezen om het huis te huren voor het hele skiseizoen - meestal 1 december tot 30 maart of per maand, voor een aantrekkelijk, vast bedrag (plus kosten). Hier is er een activiteit voor altijd seizoen en een seizoen perfect voor elke activiteit.
Het huis is geschikt voor maximaal twaalf personen met vier slaapkamers, drie badkamers en veel bonuskamers in de kelder. Great stay!

We were a family of six in town for a wedding at Jiminy Peak. The house was perfect, and would have accommodated even more. There was room for everyone to have their space. The kitchen was fully equipped. The pool was lovely. Eugene was responsive and personable when I had questions. Five stars!!

Wonderful spot

We had a wonderful time at this well-stocked home tucked into the woods. The house had everything we needed and was cozy and comfortable. The owners made all the communication very easy and were very accommodating. Everyone enjoyed the pool! The house feels a million miles away in a good way, but was close to lots of fun activities. We went to Mass MoCa and also to the adventure park at Jiminy Peak both of which were easy drives from the house. We hope to go back!

Tranquil Retreat

The property is located in a very convenient country setting. The house is lovely and specious, with plenty of windows all around which allows for the enjoyment of the beautiful tall trees all around the property, even in the cold winter he trees looked beautiful. The house is filled with natural light. The interior is specious and well lit. Some of its furnishings have been updated giving the interior a fresher look. The kitchen counter was also updated and is now a new quartz's counter, which is not reflected on the photos Vrbo currently displays. The owners seem to be in the process of updating other items in the house. The house is well equipped with all you will need in the kitchen; nice bedding linens, bathroom toiletries, fireplace wood, etc. The property has different heating zones allowing guests to enjoy a temperature that suits their comfort. The main living area has a modern thermostat that owners are able to control remotely, if necessary. The main bedroom and other bedrooms have more traditional thermostats that are easily manually controlled. Our large family was able to find privacy and quiet time whenever necessary as the house has several separate sitting areas. We all sat comfortably to have meals together at the long dinning room table. Our family members all expressed their enjoyment and satisfaction with the space the house offered. The property owners are very responsive. cooperative and welcoming. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a token of hospitality that was left for us at the table.

Surrounded by Nature

We had a wonderful vacation in this beautiful home in Stephentown. We had so much fun exploring the area, shopping, riding bikes and hiking. We used the pool daily for exercise and relaxation. The kitchen was filled with everything you need to cook family meals along with the barbecuing outside. We especially enjoyed gathering around the firepit at night. It was a great way to kick off summer!

We've only recently purchased this beautiful home which had been successfully offered through VRBO for many years by its prior owners. While the prior owner received uniformly rave reviews - and that success belongs to her - we have done our best to learn from her and continue the emphasis on beauty and grace, customer service, and anticipating traveler needs. We have traveled a lot and are quite familiar with the consumer's point of view . Based on our own experiences we feel pretty confident that we know what our renters want and need, and if we miss the mark, our three adult children will quickly point it out to us. We fell in love with the house the first time we saw it -- made an offer that afternoon and closed in a little more than a month. We hope you feel the same way about our home as we do.

As we say, it has it all. While we enjoy the company of others, we cherish our privacy. The house is secluded but has lots of room which will allow us to host large gatherings for extended family and friends. The area attractions which include: the Berkshires, Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Jiminy Peak, other skiing, museums, theater and antiquing and hiking in nearby State Parks - makes the house a convenient location no matter what you enjoy doing during your vacation. The setting is magnificent and then there is the house, the pool, and the property. While the exterior of the house is contemporary in style, the inside has an old world charm including beautiful wood paneling throughout the master bedroom. There is lots of room, tasteful and elegant furnishings, comfort and charm, and a functionality that we hope you will appreciate. The heated pool is luxurious and the landscaping, which has definitely kept us busy, is magnificent. It's the kind of place in which you wake up early to a bright sunny day and simply cannot wait to have your morning tea or coffee on one of the decks, enjoying both nature and wonderful creature comforts. It has it all.

Wat deze accommodatie uniek maakt

The house had us the moment we saw the beautiful landscaping surrounded by tall mature trees and then it got better. The comfortably furnished living room(s), fire places and wood burning stoves cried out to us. The kitchen is great, but the butcher block island and the hand made dining room table wowed us. The master bedroom, converted from a library with magnificent wood built-ins, is something rarely seen in a modern home. After touring the bedrooms we were led down to the finished basement with what are mysteriously referred to (for legal reasons) as "bonus" rooms. Simply, there is tons of high quality space indoors. And then there's the outdoors. Spacious decks, magnificent gardens, almost 6 acres of mostly wooded grounds, a cleared meadow for lawn games, and the piece de resistance: the heated pool. You just have to see it to appreciate it. We hope you do.
