We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nigel's property. The property is located in the centre of the village, and as mentioned in other reviews, you can often hear the locals socialising into the small hours, which was fine for us, as we were socialising with them! In fairness, we have three children, aged 4, 6 and 8 who all slept without issue.
This is an exceptionally friendly village, indeed, the locals welcome you with open arms. As a family who like to holiday off the beaten track, our experience was exactly as we had hoped.
The house itself is a fantastic size with a wonderful pool and everything you need for a relaxing stay, including an outside fridge. The barbecue area is great for a siesta or outdoor entertaining.
From our perspective, it would seem that the recently published 1* review is wholly unjustified. Nigel's parking instructions were very clear. If the kerb is painted yellow, do not park there! Please note, the yellow lines are not painted on the road itself, but rather on the kerb itself. You can park on the street before reaching the house, or in the square, just beyond the house. It will take you no more than a minute or two to walk to the house from your parking space.
We have no hesitation in recommending Nigel's property. Also, his communication was both detailed and clear.
