Info over de woning

A spacious apartment in a villa, very close to the beaches of Cardedu's Marina.

Between the village of Cardedu and the sea we offer you a large tastefully furnished vacation apartment in a large villa, lain at a short distance from the beautiful and breathtaking beaches of Marina di Cardedu. Surrounded by a Mediterranean garden area and terraces. The apartment has its own separate entrance with all needed privacy. Two bedrooms, bathroom, a large living, kitchen, porch, bbq.

Marina di Cardedu has quite fine, light-coloured sand mixed with pebbles. Its waters are crystal clear and of a changing blue due to the plays of light created by the sun reflecting off the sea bed. A further splash of colour is provided by the green of the vegetation that crowns the beach.

How to arrive: Marina di Cardedu is found in the locality of the same name in the municipal area of Cardedu. It is easy to reach by going along the SS 125 panoramic state road and after the town of Bari Sardo you will find the signposts for the church of Nostra Signora del Buoncammino, and later, crossing a bridge, those for the beach.

Informations and services: The beach has a host of facilities: it has wheelchair access, a small car park, hotel, café, and other pubs and clubs in the area where the nightlife is particularly lively. Marina di Cardedu has deep waters which means that children need to be carefully watched over whilst playing in the sea. Being windy, it is an ideal spot for surfers and is loved by scuba fishing enthusiasts and by those simply wishing to dive in its waters, perhaps with a mask and flippers to admire the underwater world rich in pleasant surprises. It is also a spot which attracts a number of nudists, during quieter periods of the year.

Located centrally on the eastern coast of Sardinia, its territory covers an area of approximately 1854km (squared). The province was established in 2005 and has 23 towns including the “capitals” Tortoli and Lanusei. There is also a port and an airport both located in the coastal resort of Arbatax. The SS125 is a major link-road leading north and south to Olbia and Cagliari respectively. The SS389 leads to other major towns including Nuoro, Sassari, Olbia and Oristano.

Ogliastra is so called because of its density of very old olive trees called “olivasti” that date back to more than a thousand years ago. However, it was also once said that the name derived from an enormous cliff called “Agugliastra” situated directly on the coast with the Tyrrhenian Sea lapping its shores.

Ogliastra is an area untouched and mostly unpolluted enclosed between mountains and lakes, plateaus and plains and forests. It boasts beautiful hidden coves and bays with calm crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches making it an ideal habitat for kayaking. The presence of unforgettable views, from the ones in the mountains to those on the coast, meet the requirements of all tourists whether they are looking for exploration and tranquility within the silence of the mountains or a relaxing chill-out on the sun soaked sandy beaches, bathing in the tepid waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Central Ogliastra is rich in forestation with chestnut trees, yew, oak, old olive trees and pine trees all flourishing. Living within this natural habitat are deer, mouflon, hares, rabbits, wild boars, quails and partridges. Numerous archeological sites are scattered generously throughout the territory with Nuraghe, Domus de Janas, giant tombs and menhirs featuring prominently.

The East Coast of Sardinia: the canoeist’s ideal habitat, according to not just Cadedu Kayak but anyone who’s been lucky enough to visit and paddle here. Places visited all year round by those who love nature and its marvels, rather than creature comforts. The coastline lends itself to all open-air sporting and “wellness” activities. Among these, sea canoeing is the most sought-after. The canoeist’s privileged position and the absolute silence, interrupted only by the noise of the paddle

Beaches and bays in all their beauty alternate with little caves, impressive rocks and granite shapes eroded over time by wind and sea. You paddle kilometre after kilometre, forgetting the time that passes, accompanied by a continuous show of colours and smells and, when you look up to the majestic high limestone cliffs falling vertically down to the sea, you can’t help noticing the calm and undisturbed flight of the griffon vulture. At Cardedu Kayak we’re certain that all this will delight the expert and not-so-expert canoeist. Happy Paddling…

Cardedu Kayak invites clubs, associations and those who just simply love the sea to come and visit us to share the emotion that our land and magnificent sea has to offer. We are proud to offer 64 different itineries, covering all technical abilities, for you to tour the entire coastline of Sardinia giving you the possibility to experience the natural scents and emotions only accessible in a kayak.

Each route is described in detail with distances, times and level of difficulty. The trips are of various durations, from a half-day to a multiple-day excursion. Particularly evocative are the night time outings, with nautic camping and fishing from the kayak. Cardedu Kayak guarantees with all its excursions assistance from a F.I.C.K. qualified instructor with maximum safety and useful suggestion for increased enjoyment. Group tours and school groups can be accommodated and personal tours of increased duration can also be organised. Prices with personal estimate on request.

Living in Sardinia gives different advantages: an healthy air, a daily life without stress and a long life. For years Sardinian people has been object of different studies in the field of population genetics. Some researches on genetic structure show some differences between Sardinian people and the other Italian or European populations.

As Calò, Melis, Vona and Piras said in their article entitled Sardinian Population (Italy): a Genetic Review: “A high degree of internal heterogeneity was also found and it can be attributed first to strict isolation and consequent high levels of endogamy and consanguinity, secondly, to selective factor linked to endemic malaria that influenced the distribution of some gene frequencies.

Finally an influence on Sardinian’s biological history could be attributed to the demographic events such as low population density and scant matrimonial movement, which triggered off phenomena of genetic drift”. (International Journal of Modern Anthropology, 2008). Moreover, the food, inherited from agro-pastoral customs and traditions, help people to live a long and healthy life: fresh milk, pure groundwater, meat (beef, pork, lamb locally grown), cheese, tasty bread, green vegetables characterize the Sardinian cooking.

The whole area of Ogliastra includes fine white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, cliffs which fall sheer to the sea, age-old woods and dry desert plains. Sailing along the wonderful coast it possible to admire some of the most beautiful bays of the Mediterranean: Cala Gonone, Cala Luna, Cala Goloritzè are nowadays very well-know destinations for tourism.

As a matter of fact the whole Orosei gulf has been appointed by the EU as SIC (Site of Communitarian Importance), awards given to sites characterised by the presence of important species of flora and fauna. One of the most famous and popular site is the Grotta del Bue Marino (Sea cow's cave), once shelter for the seals, today in danger of extinction.

The species of animals are numerous and include vultures, predatory birds, moufflons and wild boars, mostly in the internal area. Arbatax is a small village quite close to the sea, with a nice port. Its name reminds to the Sarancens raids, quite frequent in the past.

Today Arbatax is an important tourist destination thanks to its beaches and its typical seafood. Tortoli' and Santa Maria Navarrese are two other important tourist sites. In particular, Santa Maria Navarrese shows an interesting church, dated back to the XI century. The legend tells that the Navarra Princess, victim of a shipwrecked coming back from the Holy Land, made contact with this land saving herself from death and ordered to build the church as sign of thanks.

From the archaeological point of view, to be noted is the “holy area of Sa Perdalonga', near Barisardo. The area includes one of the most important menhir of Sardinia, surrounded by rocks from where it was used to attend the ceremonies. Another important monument is the church of San Antonio in Orosei.

The first structure is dated back around the XIII century and the tower near the church itself seems to confirm that date. The interior of church kept ancient frescoes, recently rehandled. An excursion for nature-lovers amid gorges, crags and caves, searching for the remains of the ancient Nuragic civilisation, in a wild environment.

A place- so different from the renowned beaches along the coast, the hinterland is furrowed with valleys and impervious canyons where shady evergreen forests grow.

On the island, many “green lungs” can be found, where you can spend part of your time. The many trails offer to visitors the chance to be walked on foot, horseback, mountain bike or n all-terrain vehicles.

From north to south Sardinia, the natural repertoire is extremely diverse and full of surprises. It easily happens to find rivers, waterfalls and springs or to come across ancient archaeological remains as Nuraghi, Tombs of the Giants or Domus de Janas.

Schitterend locatie !!!

  • 5 of 5

Vlissingen.

Prachtige huis gelegen bij adembenemende stranden.

  • 5 of 5

We keren zeker terug !!

A rustical vacation apartment into a large villa, with terraces and a Mediterranean garden area, covered porch and barbecue. This property is located at 1200 mt from the sandy beaches of Museddu and Foddini.

This object is close to the beaches of the clean sands and blue waters, which means that they are ideal for families with young children. Some of the views from Cardedu beach are excellent, taking in a panoramic view of sea, mountains, rocks and coastline.

A sandy seabed with limpid waters and a coast where dazzling coves suddenly appear to break the long white stretches of sand and reefs, pebbles and red porphyry sketch a gorgeous landscape, variegated, rugged and uncontaminated. Cardedu is also a favourite seaside resort for windsurfers because of the strong sirocco winds.

Cardedu is located in a rural region of Sardinia, meaning outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain climbing can be enjoyed amongst a stunning and unspoilt backdrop. A great way of getting around is to hire a bicycle or mountain bike from Cardedu village centre; and head out with a packed lunch for a day of exploring. Remember to take plenty of water you’ll need it in the strong Sardinian sunshine.

Very close to one of the white sandy beaches in this area. The Marina of Cardedu is picturesque and peaceful, but there are a scattering of bars, restaurants and shops in the area. Alternatively, you can shop in the village of Cardedu, where you can find all of the local produce.

Cardedu was established after the flood at Gairo in 1951, at first part of Gairo and then, in 1984, it became a Comune in its own right. The Comune extends for 2000 hectares, with centuries-old woods with unique flora and fauna, forming an area of exceptional natural beauty around Monte Ferru (875 m amsl). Along the coast, there's a succession of sandy inlets, rocks, stones and red porphyry, to make a varied and unspoilt landscape.

There aren't historic monuments, given the relatively recent formation of the comune, but there are archaeological sites, such as nuraghi, Domus de Janas, a sacred well (Su Presoneddu). As in the past, agriculture is an important sector, producing typical produce such as: oranges, peaches, grapes (and therefore wine), honey, cheese, casu e fitta, casu agedu and milk. The gastronomic specialities are culurgiones, gattò and amaretti.

Ogliastra, with the beauty of its coastline and mountainous interior, is Sardinia's most recently-discovered tourist destination. This corner of the island, bounded by the mountains and the sea, offers an unlimited number of unique attractions for visitors.

A paradise of remarkable beauty situated on the east coast of Sardinia: here Nature offers the best of itself. The name Ogliastra is said to come from the Olivastri, olive trees, found all over this area, though others say it's derived from the Agugliastra (or Pedra Longa), the limestone monolith on the coastline of Baunei.

Ogliastra's coastline contains beautiful oases of sand wedged between the sea and the surrounding cliffs, and is one of the Mediterranean's most charming marine landscapes. Starting from the north, we come to sandy bays (cale) reachable only by boat or on foot, such as the famous Cala Luna, Cala Sisine, Cala Mariolu and Cala Goloritzé; further south we find interesting beaches such as those at Tancau, Orrì, Cea, the Marinas di Barisardo and Cardedu, Coccorrocci and the Golfo di Sarrala.

The other magical side to Ogliastra is the Nature, which is still unspoilt and which gradually changes as you climb over the hills to arrive at the mountains of the Gennargentu, whose varied landscapes and rare beauty are very satisfying to gaze upon.

A land which is best appreciated by the attentive and curious observer, rather than the normal tourist. In terms of history and archaeology, the whole area is very worthwhile to visit, with many Nuraghi, Domus de Janas, Fonti Sacre, Tombe dei Giganti and Menhir.

On foot, by bike, on horseback, by car or 4WD you can follow trekking routes to discover places which you won't easily forget. If, on the other hand, you wish to see the splendid Ogliastra coastline from the sea, there are boats to take you there.

Only the combination of sights and scents manages to fully describe Ogliastra's magic and harmony. You can't say you've really visited Sardinia if you don't spend at least a few days in Ogliastra!

Ogliastra, a land of magical beauty, situated on the east side of Sardinia. This territory, situated between the summits of the Gennargentu and the Tyrrhenian sea, is considered one of Sardinia's most fascinating.

It's a vast area, more than 1800 square kilometres, with a small section of low-lying coastal plains and lots of hills and mountains which dominate the coastline and the interior.
