Eastham House - Steps to Beach

Je vakantie zal onvergetelijk zijn in dit nieuwe huis, ideaal gelegen op slechts 300 meter van Cape Cod Bay. Uw privéstrand op Cape Cod, Target View Beach, ligt net over de duinen aan het einde van uw straat of u kunt naar de openbare Cole Road of First Encounter-stranden lopen. Voor zoet water zwemmen, Bridge Pond is ook een korte loopafstand. In de omgeving zijn stranden aan de Atlantische Oceaan, fietspaden, natuurpaden, het National Seashore Park, geweldige restaurants en de stad Orleans voor al uw boodschappen. Het nieuwe huis, voltooid in april 1999, is een grote Cape Cod van 2000 m² met twee houthakkers aan de voorkant, een volledige dakkapel aan de achterkant, met een terras en een beschutte veranda. Het huis biedt plaats aan acht personen met drie queensize bedden en twee eenpersoonsbedden. Het huis is open, licht en luchtig met kathedraalplafonds, veel ramen en plafondventilatoren. Prachtig ingericht. We hebben zeer positieve reacties ontvangen van onze vorige gasten.


Loop naar het strand is ongeveer. 300 voet of 5 min. lopen. Het huis ligt op ongeveer drie kilometer van ons andere huis in Eastham.

Some good some not.
The house did not look like it does in the photo. The front door and siding is dirty and there are a lot more trees than expected, which created more bugs. The inside was nice, the furniture is kind of old and worn and not very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Screened in porch was nice. Twin beds were extremely uncomfortable and noisy. Central Air was nice. Beach chairs in basement were nice to have but old. Proximity to the beach was good, you have to walk down the street, through a path then down a bunch of steep steps so not good for people who have ambulation issues but the public beach on Cole Road was perfect. It was a good week with family. Thank you .

Great Family Vacation!
The house had everything we needed. Furniture was comfortable and outside area pleasant. Very short walk to bay beach! The only downside was that one of the bedrooms upstairs was open to the living room and that was problematic for sleeping and privacy for the couple who slept there…did not notice that in the description. Didn’t ruin our fun time though! Family reunion a success!

Surprise
We were notified three days before arrival to bring our own bedding, towels and table linens. Each bed had a thin comforter- fortunately we brought blankets with us. What was advertised as a third upstairs bedroom had no door and was open to living room space below. The foldout couch was in that room and there was no way anyone could use it because it was two feet from the bed. The kitchen had drawers filled with all kinds of utensils and pots and pans were piled haphazardly into a cupboard. There were at least four vacuum cleaners- but when I tried to clean up. several were not working. Having said all that I must add that the location is fabulous! We wAlked to the beach, the pond and the playground with a two and a half year old- easily.

Great location
Large, clean, spacious house, one block from beach. We only had 2 small problems, the living room TV remote did not work, and the grill was rusted and unusable. We all enjoyed our stay.

Good location, spacious and clean
We had two small problems (grill was not usable and tv remote did not work), but otherwise this property was very nice, spacious, with good, quiet location. About a block from the beach. Many nice restaurants in the general area.

My wife, Gwyn, has been vacationing in Eastham every year since she was a kid. As a child she loved swimming in Cape Cod Bay, walking the tide flats, and exploring the area. When we had kids we returned to Eastham every year and rented several vacation houses. In 1999 we built our vacation house that incorporates all the things we liked about those rental houses and added those things we wish they had. As past renters of vacation houses we wanted our house to be open, bright, airy and have all the amenities and comforts we know you expect in a vacation house. The house is on a private street so eventhough you are a short walk to Cape Cod Bay you also have a large, quiet yard - the way the Cape used to be. The public Cole Road Beach is just up the beach from your private beach. Wiley Park is a short walk from the house. The park has a sandy beach on Great Pond, one of the many fresh water ponds in the area. The park also has picnic facilities and a playground. Eastham is the headquarters for the Cape Cod Seashore National Park, home to two of the best ocean beaches in America – Coastguard Beach and Nauset Beach.
Besides beach activities you may want to go biking on the Cape Cod Rail Trail, go fishing from your private beach or charter a boat, go shopping, or just explore the quaint Cape Cod towns. Nearby are the towns of Hyannis and Provincetown - where there is much to see and do. You may want to take a boat excursion to one of the outer islands of Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard or perhaps go whale watching. Whatever your plans we have made every effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

We chose this location because it has its own private bay beach and is centrally located for Cape activities - bay, ocean, and pond beaches; fishing; riding bikes; jogging; walking; or exploring nearby towns.

Walking distance to bay beaches and fresh water pond beaches are quite unique. It is also unique to find a new, clean, bright, and airy house so close to the beach. This is not a musty cottage, but a house where you will feel very comfortable.
