Our best family vacation ever

Perfect apartment for our family of 6's Parisian vacation. Parents enjoyed the very comfy king bed. 20-yr old girl and 17-yr son were in twin beds in the second bedroom and 18 and 15-yr girls on sofa bed in the living area. 2 baths/showers a big plus for a family of six -- though you still need to allow a LOT of time in the morning to get everyone ready to get out the door. Stairs to 4th (really 5th) floor a killer, but building does have a tiny elevator. Windows totally muted street noise and curtains blocked light yet we had wonderful air and light when we opened them and wanted it. Kitchen tiny but very functional (never did figure out the microwave) -- but everything worked great. Had two very nice family dinners and breakfast every day. The street life on Rue de Buci can not be beat. Hard to imagine a better location than this apartment. Great restaurant with a terrific pizza/pasta restaurant right outside your door. Numerous excellent cafes steps away. Carrefours market around the corner. Gelato and Haagen Dazs steps away. The metro a block away. We would absolutely stay here again. The facilities are so modern and lovely once you are in the apartment (the hallway and building looks ancient, though). The only negative was that we had arranged to meet the manager upon our arrival in Paris and to the building around 9:30AM. He never answered his cell. When we finally got someone in the office (while standing out in front of the building -- all six of us, with luggage) they had to track him down. 45 minutes later he showed up. Then to find out the apartment had not been cleaned. Travel weary, we had to leave our stuff there with a stranger and walk around Paris for 6 hours. Felt we were cheated out of a day in the apartment. Even though we had confirmed our arrival time in advance -- we suggest you TRIPLE confirm your arrival with Paul or Damian and ensure when you will meet to get the key so that you are not left standing on the street as we were.

Reactie van de eigenaar Thank you for your review. This is exact, we had some last minute problem has this apartment was suppose to be empty the day before, and finally the renter left during the night. Therefore, we could not make the cleaning before noon.
Anyway, I hope that not the only souvenir you had from your stay ! Again, we feel very sorry for this, this is unusual and we are looking forward to seeing you again in Paris.
