My husband, daughter and myself have just returned from our holiday to Lake Garda and can thoroughly recommend this beautiful area, if, like us, you are first time vistitors to the area. The apartment is ideally situated because it is just far enough away from any main roads and therefore we did not get woken by continuous traffic noise and yet it is also near enough to walk into town. We were a little bit unfortunate with the weather because we had quite a lot of rain but the apartment is so well equipped with DVD's, CD's, books and, to the delight of our daughter, a Playstation 3 and a Playstation 2 we were never bored. We ate out most of the time but did have a couple of meals in the apartment and there is everything you need to make a meal. There is plenty to see and do in the area and is ideal for families as there are plenty of theme parks to keep them amused but is also good if you are a "culture vulture". We visited a few other towns on the lake and can honestly say that we thought Lasize was the most picturesque, with Garda coming a close second.Sadly we did not get to visit Serminone (which we heard was also very pretty) because there is not a regular bus/boat connection so opted to visit Pescheira instead by boat but unfortunately it was closed! (siesta time) ;however we still enjoyed lunch there. Speaking of which...the food is excellent. We especially liked La Boheme which is just over 5 minutes walk away from the apartment and also Girasole which is 10 minutes away in the other direction. We were pleasantly surprised by Girasole because the sign outside is a little bit tatty but the restaurant itself is beautiful inside and the food was sublime. I would definitely recommend this apartment because it was so well equipped and clean, but above all we felt secure there too. One other plus point to mention is the underground garage space which you are allocated which can only be accessed by a security key (this also applies to the grounds themselves so nobody can just wander in uninvited).
